Pioneers of change
A better future is possible though collective, sustainable actions.
We can achieve a zero-waste and zero-emissions lifestyle that’s good for everyone and the planet.
Let’s transform eco-anxiety through positive action to reduce household waste.
Saponetti Founders: Nikki Self and Christian von Seydlitz
A one-stop solution
In 2016, Nikki Self and Christian von Seydlitz launched Saponetti, Toronto’s first zero-waste refill store, offering customers a one-stop solution for daily household products that has inspired a movement toward eco-conscious living.
The concept of Saponetti was born out of the impact that environmental scarring in Northern BC had on Nikki as a young girl during family camping trips. As she became more aware of the devastating effect of unsustainable consumerism and product development practices, Nikki pursued a path of eco-conscious living, a path she now shares with her life partner, Christian.
Toronto’s first zero-waste refill delivery store
Saponetti is an online shopping portal and a bricks-and-mortar refill station in Bloordale with aims to:
- Drastically reduce single-use plastic.
- Emphasize cleanliness.
- Foster wellbeing for the planet and people.
- Transform eco-anxiety through collective and sustainable actions.
